If you’re assessing EarnLearn apprentices in the workplace, the 4098 Trades course gives you the practical skills and knowledge needed to carry out assessments confidently and in line with industry standards.

This course has been designed specifically for workplaces involved in Plumbing, Gasfitting, or Drainlaying training. It focuses on real assessment scenarios, using evidence gathered from apprentices in your own workplace.

By completing this course, you’ll learn how to support apprentices effectively while ensuring assessments meet the required standards.

About the Course

The 4098 Trades course focuses on workplace-based assessment and evidence collection within the PGD trades environment.

Unlike the general 4098 programme, this version is designed for employers and supervisors who are actively working with EarnLearn apprentices in Plumbing, Gasfitting, or Drainlaying.

During the course you will learn how to:

  • Carry out effective workplace assessments

  • Collect and evaluate workplace evidence

  • Support apprentices through assessment tasks

  • Apply assessment principles in real trade environments

  • Ensure assessments meet industry and training requirements

All assessment activities are completed using a real apprentice in your workplace, ensuring the learning is practical and directly relevant to your role.

Who Should Take This Course

This course is designed for workplaces that assess EarnLearn apprentices in Plumbing, Gasfitting, or Drainlaying.

It is particularly suited to:

  • Employers supervising apprentices

  • Workplace supervisors

  • Staff responsible for workplace assessments

The training is tailored to the realities of trade environments, ensuring the assessment process works in real workplaces.

Course Requirements

To be enrolled in this course you must have:

  • An EarnLearn apprentice available in your workplace

  • The ability to carry out assessment tasks with that apprentice

  • A certifying plumbing, gasfitting and/or drainlaying license 

 

All course assessments are based on real workplace evidence gathered during the programme.

Course Cost

The course fee is $300 + GST.

This includes:

  • Course materials

  • Online workshop participation

  • Assessment of submitted course tasks

  1. Complete the Application Form provided by your EarnLearn Account Manager or our team.
