All scaffolding apprenticeships and programmes currently managed by EarnLearn/Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP), will transition to Vertical Horizonz New Zealand (VHNZ) from 19 December 2025.
This move follows TPP’s decision to step away from scaffolding training in 2026, and the scaffolding industry’s preference to have one training provider for New Zealand.
For employers and learners right now, no action is required. All existing scaffolding learners will be transferred from EarnLearn/TPP to VHNZ. VHNZ Training Advisors will contact apprentices and employers very soon to introduce themselves and discuss progress. VHNZ will also issue new training agreements for signing in the new year.
