Fees Free helps cover the cost of your study or work-based learning by reimbursing eligible fees once you successfully complete your qualification or programme.

Fees are still payable when you enrol. If you are eligible for Fees Free, reimbursement is processed after completion.

In most cases, Fees Free is only available to learners who are starting study or work-based learning for the first time.

Payments & Plans

Fees are invoiced from your enrolment date in accordance with your enrolment agreement. Learners with outstanding fees will not be allocated to a block course until fees are paid in full or a confirmed payment plan is in place.

If fees remain outstanding at the time of programme completion, payment must be made in full or a payment plan confirmed before a certificate can be released.

If you choose to pay by direct debit, you will receive an automated email confirming your payment start date, amount, and payment frequency.

Invoices & Billing

Invoices outline the fees you are required to pay for your training period.

If paying by direct debit:
You will receive an automated invoice covering outstanding fees from 1 February (or your start date if later) until your direct debit begins.

If paying by invoice:
You will receive an invoice outlining the amount due.

  • Learners who started before 2026 are invoiced for 1 February to 31 December

  • Learners who started after 1 February are invoiced for a 12-month period from their start date

Alternative payment methods can be discussed after your invoice is issued.

Support & Other Funding

For employers:
Employers may be eligible for Apprenticeship Boost for apprentices in their first or second year. This payment is made directly to employers and is available until the end of 2026. Applications are made through Work and Income.

For learners:
We recommend speaking with your employer about support options. If you are experiencing financial pressure, please contact EarnLearn to discuss what options may be available.

Two different ways to make payments to EarnLearn

Pay with online banking

You can still pay your invoice using online banking. Our bank account number is 03-0502-0748887 000 (details are also on your invoice).

Please ensure you include the following as references:

  • Your debtor ID (shown on your invoice)
  • Your invoice number
  • Your name

Pay with credit card

You can now pay multiple invoices easily, instantly, and securely on this page. We accept Visa and Mastercard credit/debit cards.

When you click the Pay now button below, you will be taken to a secure external website to complete payment.
